Fumbling over my AAA map and highlighter in the back of my parents’ car heading to the Dakota Badlands from Iowa, I have savored new and unfamiliar destinations since childhood. As a young adult, I toured Europe twice with my college wind ensemble (Go UNO!) and loved diving deeper into the diverse peoples and cultures that make up such a rich landscape. But it was in Athens, Greece, where I lived for nearly two years while my husband pursued a Classics PhD, that I knew I wanted to make Southern Europe a part of my life forever.

I am a Certified Travel Associate (CTA), having earned my designation from The Travel Institute, the oldest and most respected non-profit certification organization in the travel industry.

I have completed rigorous certification and testing, and continue to fulfill stringent education credit requirements each year. Much like an accountant or doctor with their respective credentials, my CTA designation means that I am committed to upholding the highest standards of my profession while providing expert advice to my customers.

When not traveling, I make my home in Williamsburg, Virginia with my husband and young son. We enjoy the local history, the outdoors, and trying new recipes.
